Spotify users with a Gear S3: fed up with not being able to control your music from your smartwatch? Today is your day, as the Spotify app for both the Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S3 is finally available.
Note that this isn’t a full-fledged Spotify app, meaning you still have to have your tunes playing through your phone if you want to enjoy them. This is merely a controller that lets you pause and skip music without having to reach for your phone.
It’s cool all the same, though. It’ll show you what song is playing and even give you a look at the album’s artwork. You can jog through playlists and curated lists of music if you’re looking for something specific, too.
Touch Apps from the Home screen of your mobile device and then touch Samsung Gear. Touch Setting and scroll to and touch Samsung Galaxy Apps. Choose and install the Spotify app from Galaxy Apps. Double-touch Back on your mobile device to return to the Samsung Gear app. Facer is the best Watch Face app for Samsung Galaxy Watch, Gear S2 / S3. Setting a Watchface is easy, just install the Facer app from the link below (works on a mobile browser) and long-press the home screen to open the list of installed watch faces.
Hello, I installed the spotify app on my Gear S2 and want to use it with spotify on my Sony Xperia Z3 compact. The problem is, that when I start the App on the watch, spotify opens up on the phone, but the watch says 'Unable to start Spotify BT disconnected' The devices are connected via Bluetooth.
To get it, you’ll need to head to the Galaxy Apps Store and search for Spotify. Get everything paired up and enjoy!
